The Living Nativity
Since 1951, every 5 January, Rivisondoli has staged its Living Nativity: shepherds, people in costume, old crafts and the Three Kings arriving across the snow by torchlight. It is the event that makes the village famous throughout Italy, drawing visitors from all over central and southern Italy.
Why book early
The days around Epiphany are among the most requested of the winter: between New Year, 5 January and the ski season, homes in the village fill up well in advance. If you've already decided, send us your request now and we'll tell you straight away what's available.
Tips for the evening
- Walk there: from our homes you can reach the centre without the car.
- Dress for the mountains: you'll be outdoors, at night, in January.
- Stay a few days: the Monte Pratello slopes are minutes away, and Pescocostanzo is worth a stroll.
